About Us

Our philosophy on breeding is as follows:

Being a responsible breeder of any pure breeds has responsibilities.  I believe this to mean breeding a rabbit that is as true to standard as possible.  They must be healthy and vigorous.  Maintaining healthy animals and preserving diversity within the breeds is a crutial strategy.

Each time I bring new stock to my farm I ask  myself "What do I hope to accomplish with these rabbits?  Can I breed to the standard available?

The American Rabbit Breeders Association publishes a standard of perfection which I try to follow with each of my breeding rabbits, realizing that some of the colors have not been accepted into the standards. I try to follow the SOP to the best of my ability.

I believe that all animals deserve to be treated humanely.  As such, they need to be raised in housing that is safeand secure.  Their hutches should be clean, warm in the winter, provide shade in the summer and well ventilated.

My rabbits are fed a diet of commercial feeds with supplemental locally grown grains.  They also get my excess garden produce in the summer.

I practice a strict biosecurity system for the safety of my rabbits.  As such, anyone visiting my farm will not be allowed into my barns.  Thank you for understanding this.
